Pip Risk Management Calculator
Calculate your risk, lot sizes, entry splits, stop loss and broker spread before placing a gold trade.
Enter your account balance above to see your recommended lot sizes.
Protect Your Account
Your maximum total position size must include every open layer of the same trade.
For example, if your maximum is 0.10 lots and you open three entries, the three entries added together must not exceed 0.10 lots. Do not use 0.10 lots on every entry, as this would create a combined position size of 0.30 lots.
Always plan your position size before entering a trade.
Beginner Tip
Remember, protecting your trading account is more important than chasing quick profits.
If you plan to layer into a trade, decide how many entries you may use before opening the first position and split your total lot allowance between them.
Never increase your lot size simply because a trade is moving against you.
Disclaimer: This calculator is a simple educational guideline only. It is not financial advice and does not calculate exact financial risk. The true risk of a trade also depends on your stop-loss distance, pip value, market conditions, leverage and personal risk tolerance. Past performance does not guarantee future results.

Gold Pip Layering Calculator
Use this interactive calculator to explore how layering into trades can affect your potential profit and loss. Adjust your lot sizes, choose how many pips apart each entry is, set your stop loss, select a single exit point, and enter your broker spread. If you are not using a second or third entry, simply set that lot size to 0.00 and it will be ignored in the calculations.
Choose your three lot sizes, the distance between each layer, one stop loss, one final exit point, and your broker spread. The calculator works out every entry automatically.

Stop Loss and Exit
Enter 30 to exit 30 pips above Entry 1.
Enter −40 to exit 40 pips below Entry 1.
Broker Spread
Deducted separately from each active entry
Enter the current spread shown by your broker. Spreads may change depending on market conditions and the time of day.
How the spread is applied
Net Pips = Gross Pips − Broker Spread
The spread is deducted once per active entry. Entries with a lot size of 0.00 are skipped. The spread cost is calculated using the pip value and lot size for each entry.
